Bupa Ashford residents, families and team members gathered together to officially opened Bupa’s latest care home in Prebbleton, Christchurch.
The ceremony was an opportunity to acknowledge everyone who had worked on the development and the people and residents that make up the Ashford community.
“Thank you to everyone who has brought Bupa Ashford Village and Care Home to life. We’re proud of the active and close-knit community here and look forward to welcoming more residents,” said Pedro Sanchez, Managing Director Bupa New Zealand.
Situated in the heart of the community with easy access to local amenities such as shops, cafes and eateries, the new 56-bed Ashford Care Home is a purpose-built, modern facility that enables high levels of rest home, hospital, and dementia care.
“When you enter through Ashford’s doors you are struck by the beautiful and contemporary facilities. It’s a great addition to Ashford’s 16 serviced apartments and 100 villas,” he says.
Julie Denton, General Manager of Bupa Ashford, and her team, are focused on getting to know new residents and creating a warm and engaging environment.
She says, “Everyone has different needs and we will be working with our residents to deliver the right amount of care for them.
“Residents can also look forward to a range of activities and outings specifically designed to cater for their interests and abilities,” says Julie.
